I found Poetry in the Moving Sardines Can

The product of bilingualism.
In a Metro by the Station
[for Ezra Pound]

As late afternoon slides
into early evening, a rush
of faces blossoms into view,
a bouquet of wilting flowers
thirsting for rest or rain.

For your eyes only

It's downpour only now.
I won't give up on us,
I'm giving you all my love.

God knows we're worth it—
the pain, the sacrifice, the tears.
This may be a great storm,
but how great it could be
that after the storm,
we are at the opposite ends
of the rainbow? I'll meet you there.

And when you come closer,
I will never ever let you go,
not even once.

I Breathe You

You are the only other half that makes me whole.

.....

It is true, it is what my heart is saying.

You are my air.
The love I have found in you is a life
that throbs all through my veins and skin.

.....
.....

I breathe you, like water for trees,
music for the soul, honey for bees.

Nothing could compare how
your love has transformed me.
I was crippled and now I can walk.
I was blind and you made me see.
I was dumb and now I am bright.
It was you who made me well.

You taught me how to love.
And now I know how to love,
this love should only be with
one human being.
It was you,
and is you,
until He takes this life away.

In spite of all the fear

that one day we'll part our ways,
I remain strong and confident.

Despite I know one day
we won't meet with each other again,
I will not get tired waiting for you,
listening to your words,
even my hair turns to ashes.

Despite I know I will
let you go someday,
deep inside I know our feet
shall bring us together in a thing called "home."

Despite you will have to choose to forget about me,
and dispose all memories of me,
I will find my way back to you.

Our worries, our fears, our angers,
our smiles, our hope, our love—
they have been a part of
who I am today.

This is all what I learned.
And you taught me all this.
I will take these even to my dreams.

For without you,
I could have just settled for
being alone.

No one could ever get me—
but you.

Being by one's self

“I guess it is in solitude that we come to our own terms on things; not only is it the time that we tend to, but I find it is a moment where we reflect and explore deep into our own thoughts on how things are or were. I would describe solitude to myself as a spiritual moment to be fair, it is in solitude that I feel like I’m drifting away into my dreams that I want to fulfill, another adventure to go on whilst venturing out the door one morning and being where I want myself to be.” —RE

You are my sky

One shape.
for I always look up to you,
and you look after me.

You have never changed a thing.
You have given me more reason
to feel the warmth of your endearment.

You have crushed all my worries;
you have never thought ill of me.
You are killing me—
with those ceaseless cares and wits.

I have never thought you could be like this,
hanging on the cliff of my whims.
I have never foreseen how special I could be—
I was blinded and my judgment was clouded,
with all of you.

What could I ask for, when all I have is you.

Illuminate

Take me there.

the heart that is wrapped by
dark clouds and locked by
your blinding lightning.

Illuminate
the heart that is clutched to
your gloomy heart ensconced
in the seat of your happiness.

Illuminate
this heart—
fierce but full of fear—
that your heart owns.
